The stone sculptures of gargoyles crowning Notre Dame Cathedral are some of the moist riveting pieces of artwork in French culture. They move me at any rate. My bestest friend Pattie wanted to write an article for our local SCA newsletter centered upon gargoyles. She asked me to contribute and draw the gargoyle for her. I did so (even though she is a better artist than I am), and I was awarded that month's cover.
